Scenes From Today

We rode a long boat through the Chao Phraya River.  There's a scene in James Bond's The Man with the Golden Gun in which Roger Moore chases Scaramanga's henchmen through this river.  I didn't feel like James Bond.  I felt like the other dude in the boat with him, Sheriff J.W. Pepper, the fat guy sliding all over the place.

Traffic jam on the river.  Waiting for the gates of the canal to open and let us through.

Tuk Tuks are three wheeled death and pollution conveyances. They're a fun way to get around and see the city.  They're used predominately by tourist, you'll  never see a self respecting Thai riding one of these.  But they can't be beat for the cost.  For 100 Baht (about $3) we were whisked clear across town.

The problem with these things, aside from the obvious safety factor, is the open air.  I'm not talking about Colorado farm fresh mountain country air. I'm talking polluted stinky nausea inducing barely breathable air.

Which of these is not like the other?
Red wire goes to green wire?
No, green wire goes to blue?
Crap, just connect it anywhere!

You are here!
